S1, S2, and S3 each present a complete solving session. Every session begins with a unique scramble generated using Twizzle tools within the cubing.js ecosystem and progresses through all five steps of the Visual Structural Method. Although each solve follows a different path, the same structural principles are applied throughout.
These sessions demonstrate the method in action. Select S1, S2, or S3 until the button turns green. Set playback to the highest speed and press Scramble. Once the scramble is complete, adjust the playback speed to a comfortable pace and play Steps 1 through 5 in sequence.
Each step can be replayed as often as needed. Use the Step Reset button to practise a specific stage, or switch to Cube Control mode to pause, play, and examine the solve one movement at a time.
The demo follows the same structural progression used by the Visual Structural Method and must be viewed in sequence. Learners cannot jump directly between steps. For example, if you are currently at Step 3 and wish to return to Step 1, you must first reset Step 3, then reset Step 2, and finally reset Step 1. Each step depends on the structural state created by the previous step, so resets must follow the reverse order of construction. This preserves the integrity of the solve and allows learners to observe how the structure develops from Foundation to Walls to Windows.
As you move through the five steps, observe how the cube develops through Foundation → Walls → Windows. The structure grows progressively, making it easy to see what has been completed, what remains to be built, and what comes next.
The demo solves the cube in the same way the method is taught: like building a small house, one section at a time. Learners follow visible structural changes and visual pattern moves that guide the solve from start to finish.
Step 5 normally completes the final window alignment using the center pieces. In some solves, Step 4 may naturally complete one or more windows before Step 5 begins. For demonstration consistency, S1 and S2 intentionally leave the final alignment for Step 5.
About Step 1 in the Solved Examples
The solved examples on this website use a free movement approach for Step 1. The result is exactly the same: the yellow corner frame is completed and the solve continues normally. The book teaches a more structured Step 1 approach that was developed through years of testing and refinement, helping learners focus on a smaller working area and making Step 1 easier to learn and practice. These solved examples are provided to demonstrate how the Visual Structural Method solves real scrambles from start to finish, while the book provides the complete learning system and the recommended learning path for new learners.
